Catch and Release

Thanks to Mike Markus for sending us the poster for Catch and Release. One of the great things about a poster like this is being able to check out all the little details in it. Also a cute way of showcasing the actors without slapping us in the face with big floating heads.

[December 21, 2006 8:45pm]
Thanks to IONCINEMA for sending us the poster for Fast Track. From Cinempire comes the one sheet for Delta Farce, an obvious spoof of the poster for Full Metal Jacket. Love the Slim Jims tucked in with the bullets. [Thanks to Luis for the heads up.] Next, from CinemaBlend comes another poster for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Finally, check out two sets of lobby cards (Death Proof, Planet Terror) for Grindhouse over at AICN.

The Reaping, Norbit, Shooter, Fred Claus, Ocean's 13

[December 16, 2006 4:55am]
We have three low quality poster images from eBay auctions to add to the site this morning. First of all, thanks to Hargon for passing along the second poster for The Reaping. Next we have the frightening poster for Norbit. Considering the premise of the film, I suppose we couldn't expect anything else. The tag line is rather funny and it was a nice touch to crush the title underneath them. Finally we have a tiny image for Shooter featuring Mark Wahlberg. Hopefully we will have better versions of these shortly. Also thanks to Hargon for passing along the poster for Fred Claus. It's supposed to be a comedy but the poster actually seems kind of creepy, as if Vince Vaughn is stalking Santa instead of just being a humorously annoying relative. Finally, thanks to Mike Markus for passing along what appears to be the first poster for Ocean's Thirteen.

Trade, An Unreasonable Man, Days of Glory

[December 15, 2006 8:55pm]
Today we have three disturbing posters for the film Trade. And, no, "innocents lost" is not a typo, just a very appropriate play on words. Also, thanks to IONCINEMA for passing along the poster for the Ralph Nader documentary An Unreasonable Man as well as the North American one sheet for the French film Days of Glory (also known as Indigènes). This poster boasts the ridiculous claim that the film was so powerful it changed the course of history! Were people so inspired after seeing the film that they traveled back in time to change things? At best it may have changed people's views of history or had serious implications on the present, but nothing that just happened a year ago could ever change the course of history. Add in the foolish line at the bottom: "The true story so controversial, it couldn't be told until now" and regardless of how good the film may be, one is inspired to mock it simply based on the poster's pompous claims.

Hostel Part II, The Dead Girl

[December 13, 2006 1:35pm]
Nothing like a good hunk of flesh to promote a movie. From IGN Movies comes the rather revolting international one sheet for Hostel Part II. Not the kind of poster you'd want to hang on your dining room wall. Also, from Empire Movies we have the poster for The Dead Girl. [Thanks to Luis for the heads up.]

[NOTE: We have since received much better quality versions of the last two posters.]

The Hitcher, Music and Lyrics

[December 1, 2006 7:35pm]
From AICN comes the poster for the remake of The Hitcher. Compare it to the poster for the original. Thanks to FirstShowing.net for sending along the poster for Music and Lyrics. The IMDB still lists the movie's title as Music and Lyrics By so perhaps there has been a last minute title change.
