From Empire Movies comes the one sheet for Kill Bill Vol 2.

Wednesday, December 24th, 2003
'Twas the day before Christmas, and... we have some more posters. From LatinoReview comes a better quality poster for Club Dread and from CHUD comes two small posters for Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. And to top things off, we have a poster image for the movie version of SpongeBob SquarePants from Joblo.com.

Sunday, December 21st, 2003
The artwork has been kicking around in banner form for some time now, but here we finally have the final poster for Van Helsing starring Hugh Jackman. Also, we have a wee little image of the poster for Jersey Girl, the latest film from Kevin Smith. [thanks to Chuck Amuck for the heads up]

Friday, December 19th, 2003
The Golden Globe Nominees were announced yesterday and you can check out all the nominated films in the 2003 Golden Globe Nominees Gallery.
Meanwhile, on the poster news front, Empire Movies has poster images for three new films: a very unimaginative poster for Twisted starring Ashley Judd, Samuel L. Jackson, and Andy Garcia as well as posters for The Prince & Me starring Julia Stiles, and You Got Served. Finally, we have a very poor quality image of the Club Dread poster, starring Bill Paxton.

Wednesday, December 17th, 2003
From Lions Gate Films comes the North American one sheet for Lars Von Trier's Dogville starring Nicole Kidman.

Thursday, December 11th, 2003
Today we have the poster for the film Catch That Kid as well as a better quality image of the Denzel Washington poster Man on Fire.

Wednesday, December 10th, 2003
From comingsoon.net we have a New Zealand poster for Cold Mountain and from Empire Movies comes poster images for Japanese Story starring Toni Collette and Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers.

Saturday, December 6th, 2003
From Kyle we have the poster for the US olympic hockey film Miracle starring Kurt Russell. "The Story of the Greatest Moment in Sports History" - Yeah, right... And then we have a small image of the poster for Denzel Washington's upcoming Man on Fire. A simple but memorable poster. I like how the protective hand on the girl says so much.

Friday, December 5th, 2003
From the official site comes what is presumably the teaser poster for Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. Then LatinoReview has the one sheet for Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!. And finally, we have a second poster for Chasing Liberty. Note how it is pretty much identical to the first one except for the different background and tag line. Presumably this is the international poster which is not as interested in selling the whole White House and First Daughter plotline.

Thursday, December 4th, 2003
Thanks to Mike Markus for sending along the poster for Monster from the film's official site. This is definitely an instance where simply showing the actors on the poster tells a great deal about the film. The look of the normally glamorous Charlize Theron speaks volumes. The poster has a strange half drawn / half photo quality to it as if the faces are real but the rest is drawn. This seems especially true for Christina Ricci's clothing.

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2003
From Bloody Disgusting comes the poster for Ginger Snaps II: Unleashed. [thanks to Brandon for the heads up]

Sunday, November 30th, 2003

Thanks to Lucius we have three new character posters for The Last Samurai. Also, from MovieMarket we have a few more small images of additional posters for Haunted Mansion as well as a really lame looking poster for Welcome to Mooseport starring Gene Hackman and Ray Romano.

Saturday, November 29th, 2003
From MovieMarket comes three small but interesting posters for the unusually titled film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind starring Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Kirsten Dunst, Elijah Wood, Tom Wilkinson, and Mark Ruffalo.

Friday, November 28th, 2003
Received a high quality version of the Cold Mountain poster today and am still interested in comparing this and the banner on their site. In both versions Nicole Kidman looks just a wee bit too glamorous for the time period. But with the other two characters, the poster shows them less glamorous but more true to their characters (based on the trailer anyway). Have any thoughts yourself? Why not add them at the forum.

Thursday, November 27th, 2003
Here we have a poor quality image of the poster for Anthony Minghella's Cold Mountain starring Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, and Renee Zellweger. Oddly enough, this is slightly different than the artwork used on the official site with much better portraits for Jude and Renee on the site's banner. Also, thanks to Mike Markus, we have the poster for Taking Lives starring the unusual combination of Angelina Jolie, Ethan Hawke, and Kiefer Sutherland. A rather daring poster considering the stars, but chances are it is only a teaser.

Wednesday, November 26th, 2003
From LatinoReview comes the poster for Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London. Or is it Agent Cody 2 Banks? I have this terrible habit of reading things in the order they are written. Regardless, not too much imagination went into sticking these three smiling faces front and center. Would have been better to focus more on some of the scenes going on in the background.

Sunday, November 23rd, 2003
Two new additions today. Yet another poster for The Last Samurai, with Tom Cruise looking a bit like an angry Alec Baldwin, and the star filled poster for The Big Bounce. And yes, I know there are contractual obligations to have the stars listed in a particular order, but it is always foolish looking when a poster lines up the names over each star's picture and they don't match up. [thanks to Mike Markus for the images]

Friday, November 21st, 2003
Thanks to Kyle we have a small copy of the poster for 50 First Dates starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.

Thursday, November 20th, 2003
From CountingDown comes the teaser poster for Anchorman starring Will Ferrell. A pretty straighforward poster, but it is a rather hilarious picture of Ferrell.

Wednesday, November 19th, 2003
Second attempt at the new poster for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (as the previous one was apparently a fake). Besides the static version of the poster, there is an animated version at the official site which is rather cool. Also, from FilmForce comes the poster for My Baby's Daddy.

Sunday, November 16th, 2003
First we have the second poster for the upcoming John Woo film, Paycheck, and secondly, the artwork for the new poster for Peter Pan. Then from Empire Movies comes the one sheet for Along Came Polly starring Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston and from Joblo.com, the poster for Chasing Liberty starring Mandy Moore. [Thanks to Mike Markus, Matt Herrmann, and Jason Dunn]

Friday, November 14th, 2003
From The Z Review comes a look at the poster for next year's Fantastic Four. [thanks to Dunk for the heads up] Also, thanks to Kyle we have a cute poster for Teacher's Pet and an extremely unoriginal one for Something's Gotta Give.

Tuesday, November 11th, 2003
From Mike Markus we have the poster for the latest Errol Morris documentary Fog of War as well as a better quality image of Hellboy.

Monday, November 10th, 2003
From Mike Markus we have the second poster for The Big Empty and from Kyle comes the poster for Disney's Home on the Range.

Saturday, November 8th, 2003
Thanks to Mike Markus we have new poster images for The Last Samurai (just a slight change from the previous version), Torque (similar images of the stars but with some tacky high speed bike antics added in), and the French animated film The Triplets of Belleville. Finally, from Dale we have a first look at a teaser poster for Hellboy.

Thursday, November 6th, 2003
From the official site comes the final one sheet for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Also, a somewhat belated addition of the two teaser posters for next year's Alien vs. Predator. [thanks to Jason Dunn and Mike Markus for the heads up]

Thursday, October 30th, 2003
First there is an image of the artwork for the new teaser poster for Spider-man 2 from Sony Pictures. Then we have the US poster for Denys Arcand's The Barbarian Invasions. It is basically the same as the original French poster except that we have more mainstream icons to represent male and female. Finally, from Empire Movies comes the poster for Barbershop 2.

Tuesday, October 28th, 2003
From LatinoReview comes a first look at the teaser poster for Troy, Wlfgang Peterson's latest film starring Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean, Brian Cox, and Peter O'Toole. A little cluttered, with all the words mixed in with the names of the cast, but still quite striking.

Saturday, October 25th, 2003
Another day, another couple posters. This time we have the teaser for next year's comic book adaptation Man Thing as well as a teaser for Garfield, featuring a somewhat scary looking CGI version of the cartoon cat. [many thanks once again to Mike Markus for the images]

Friday, October 24th, 2003
Three new additions today. First, we have a great looking poster for the upcoming film Paycheck starring Ben Affleck. Next is the funny second poster for Cheaper by the Dozen. And finally, the third poster for Disney's Brother Bear. [thanks to OscarScene and Mike Markus for the images]

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2003
Looks like Viggo Mortensen has finally officially "made it" as his face takes up the bulk of the poster for Hidalgo. Unfortunately, the poster doesn't seem to capture any of the beauty or power that was so evident in the film's trailer. Also new is the poster for The Machinst starring Christian Bale and Jennifer Jason Leigh as well as a better image of the poster for The Girl Next Door. [thanks to LatinoReview and JoBlo for the images]

Monday, October 20th, 2003
Three new posters to the site today. First we have the second poster for Ron Howard's next, The Missing. The main problem is that Tommy Lee Jones' image is too obviously added in with the image of the mother and girl. Sure, it's hard to leave him out of there, but the poster would have been much better without his image pasted in. Then we have the second poster for Stuck on You along with one for the surfing documentary Billabong Odyssey. [thanks to Mike Markus and Kyle for the images]

Sunday, October 19th, 2003
A couple of small / poor quality images of new posters. First is a teeny-weeny image of the poster for Robert Altman's The Company starring (and co-written by) Neve Campbell. [thanks to ioncinema] Then comes a shot of the poster for The Girl Next Door starring Elisha Cuthbert. Hopefully we'll get better quality images shortly.

Saturday, October 18th, 2003
From FilmForcecomes the poster for The Butterfly Effect starring Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart. A fairly straightforward design but it does convey a certain creepy feeling, especially with the screaming face in his eye. [thanks to Steve for the heads up] Also new to the site is the second poster for the remake of The Punisher.

Wednesday, October 15th, 2003
From moviefone comes the latest one sheet for The Last Samurai. We should have known that there would be one to feature Tom Cruise's face taking up over half of the poster. Still, a good looking poster, even if it is not all that original. From Empire Movies comes three character posters for 21 Grams. [thanks to Mike Markus for the heads up]

Tuesday, October 14th, 2003
Many months ago, a fake teaser poster for The Alamo started kicking around and even showed up here for a little while. However, here we finally have the legitimate teaser poster. Not too much to see here, though the signatures of the heroes the actors portray is a nice touch.

Saturday, October 11th, 2003
From comingsoon.net we have the final poster for Scary Movie 3 which has the similar format of the posters for the previous two films. A few funny gags, such as the rapper named Enema and the "Men are from Mars, Aliens are from Uranus" book in Charlie Sheen's hands, but the poster isn't quite as humorous as the earlier teasers. Great tag line though.

Thursday, October 9th, 2003
Thanks to Mike Markus for passing along two new character posters for Kill Bill featuring Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu. And thanks to mukooh for a look at the poster for the Japanese action film Returner, about to receive a limited US release. Also, from FilmForce comes a second poster for In America.

Wednesday, October 8th, 2003
A few weeks back, The IMP asked for your suggestions for great poster designs that were completely trashed or ignored when turning them into DVD covers. Identity was the hands down winner. A creepy and original poster turned into a generic floating heads cover. For more, check out the DVD Cover Art page.
From the official site comes two more international posters for The Matrix Revolutions. One angry looking Agent Smith in that second one! Also new today are posters for the documentary Tupac Resurrection as well as House of Sand and Fog. [thanks to Mike Markus for the heads up]

Monday, October 6th, 2003
From Lions Gate Films comes a larger image of the Godsend poster starring Greg Kinnear, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, and Robert De Niro. As a trivia note, can anyone remember another movie poster from years ago that had a somewhat similar "born - died - born" tagline?

Saturday, October 4th, 2003
A couple new posters thanks to Mike Markus. First we have the one sheet for the documentary Bus 174. Next, the poster for The Event starring Parker Posey, Don McKellar, Olympia Dukakis, and Sarah Polley.

Thursday, October 2nd, 2003
From Joblo.com comes the poster for the biker movie Torque. Also new to the site is the one sheet for Girl With a Pearl Earring starring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Firth. Finally, we have an almost too small to see image of the poster for Godsend.
From LatinoReview comes an international one sheet for Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. This seems to be the first poster for the film that actually mentions "volume one". Also, from Miguelito's Clubhouse comes a creepy Japanese poster for the Dawn of the Dead remake starring Sarah Polley and Ving Rhames. If you want to discuss this poster or any of the other recent additions, why not check out the new Poster Forums. It's pretty barren at the moment, but someone's got to make the first entry...

Mike Markus has sent us word of a whole bunch of new posters. First of all we have three rather obscure character posters for Open Range. Next, we have have two new character posters for Ned Kelly. Finally, we have the poster for The Secret Lives of Dentists - let's just hope it is more interesting than the epic dentist film Eversmile, New Jersey.
