From Movie Poster Warehouse comes the simple yet moving poster for The Guys starring Anthony LaPaglia and Sigourney Weaver.

From LatinoReview we have the one sheet for the John Travolta / Samuel L. Jackson thriller Basic. Nothing too exciting here, though the optical flare around Jackson's hand makes it look like he's about to toss a frisbee. Then there is the second poster for Shanghai Knights. Although it is pretty similar to the previous one, the different background and the shattered glass makes this one much more interesting.

From LatinoReview comes the final poster for Daredevil. Nothing too new here if you have already seen the various character banners in theaters. Just the original poster with them added in behind the hero to make for one crowded rooftop. And from Empire Movies comes the second one sheet for The Core as well as a better quality image for It Runs in the Family

That didn't take long. Better quality images of the one sheets for Willard, Agent Cody Banks, and Identity from Dark Horizons, LatinoReview, and SUPERPOSTERS

From SUPERPOSTERS comes the one sheet for House of Fools, Russia's official entry for Best Foreign Language film at this year's Academy Awards.
Meanwhile, the IMP has two more BAD QUALITY first looks at some upcoming posters. First of all there is the straightforward poster for It Runs in the Family starring three generations of the Douglas clan. Then there is the creepy poster for the remake of Willard starring Crispin Glover. Most people will remember him as "The Thin Man" (and only memorable character) from the recent Charlie's Angels remake or as Marty McFly's dad in Back to the Future. But the IMP will always remember him from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter where his final line was something along the lines of "Uhhh, guys, where's the corkscrew?" Better quality scans will hopefully be along soon.

The quality is pretty wretched, but here is a first look at the poster for Agent Cody Banks, starring Frankie Muniz, in a film looking to cash in on the success of Spy Kids. Hopefully we'll get a better quality image shortly. For now, we can wonder whether this poster for a "kid's film" is trying to promote the star of Malcolm in the Middle or the breasts of the girl behind him. Oh dear...

The Golden Globe Awards are being handed out tonight. Check out the 2002 Golden Globe Awards Poster Gallery for all the nominees and winners.

From Empire Movies comes a better quality image of the teaser poster for The Cat in the Hat starring Mike Myers.

Poster Image Archive has the one sheet for the Disney animated film Finding Nemo. The poster is fairly straightforward but it does have a cute disclaimer to its tag line of "There are 3.7 trillion fish in the ocean. They're looking for just one." For the curious, the small print reads: "Actually, no one can ever know exactly how many fish there are in the ocean. According to some sources, the real number is probably closer to between 1 and 4 quadrillion! We just wanted to emphasize the boatload of fish that live in the world's oceans and one fish's incredible quest to find his lost son. If you think you know the actual number, we'd like to know too! Contact us at findingnemo.com."

From Empire Movies we get the one sheet for the new Mandy Moore film How to Deal. Let's call it "How Not To Design a Poster" instead. Sure, she is pretty, but this is a movie poster, not a glamour poster. From its overused and meaningless tag-line to the blank background and what looks like an air brushed shirt, the poster says absolutely nothing. What's the movie about? Don't look for any answers here...

From UIP Netherlands comes the poster for the new Rowan Atkinson spy spoof Johnny English. Only one problem with the poster: they forgot to make it funny! Sure, the tag line is humorous and just looking at Mr. Bean's face can sometimes provoke giggling, but the whole point of the movie is that this guy's supposed to be utterly incompetent. Where is that in the poster?
Two new posters from Poster Image Archive. The first one is a pretty straightforward poster for Bad Boys II. Then we have the rather humorous one sheet for Anger Management featuring a very angry Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson.

We start the new year off with a first look at the one sheet for the new Disney film Holes from the film's official site.

Sunday, December 22nd, 2002
From Empire Movies comes the one sheet for the Kate Hudson / Matthew McConaughey comedy How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

Friday, December 20th, 2002
Two new posters from Poster Image Archive. First we have the teaser for Eddie Murphy's Daddy Day Care. Once again we see a poster trying to create a catch phrase for its title: D-Day. Pretty unimaginative, though the fingernails scraping along the titles is sorta cute. Then there is the straightforward poster for Bruce Willis' Tears of the Sun. Meanwhile, the official site for House of 1000 Corpses has their official poster, which was decided by fan vote the other week. Very pretty.

From IGN FilmForce comes the impressive looking one sheet for The Hunted, starring Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro. Meanwhile, the nominees for the Golden Globe Awards are out and you can check the IMP's page for them. Finally, JoBlo.com has the latest one poster for A Guy Thing

Tuesday, December 17th, 2002
From COMINGSOON.net comes the cute but unimaginative poster for What a Girl Wants starring Amanda Bynes. With her character making the peace sign, one would almost think she is advertising What a Girl Wants II. (I suppose that would be Mel Gibson's What Women Want.)

Sunday, December 15th, 2002
From the official sitecomes the teaser poster for The Hulk. Pretty good. I like how the hulk's open hand covers up much of his face. Makes the poster a little more mysterious.
Only have a thumbnail at the moment from Apple.com but here is a tiny image of the intriguing poster for Identity, next year's thriller starring John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Alfred Molina, and a whole bunch of others. You can go to the official site to see a clearer image of the artwork featuring a bloody handprint with shadowy people for fingers.

Wednesday, December 11th, 2002
Two new posters courtesy of CountingDown.com. Biker Boyz starring Lawrence Fishburne and Old School  starring Will Farrell, Luke Wilson, and Vince Vaughn.

Monday, December 9th, 2002
From LatinoReview comes the rather plain poster for the Charles Dickens film Nicholas Nickleby featuring the likes of Nathan Lane, Jim Broadbent, Christopher Plummer,  Alan Cumming, and Miranda Richaardson. Of course all their faces are plopped together in a cheesy looking montage at the bottom like some bad video poster. The kind of poster that tells you absolutely nothing about the film. Shame shame shame!

Friday, December 6th, 2002
Redneck Alert! From Cinema Confidential comes the poster for Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie featuring Jeff Foxworthy.

Thursday, December 5th, 2002
Empire Movies gives us the second poster for the John Leguizamo / Peter Sarsgaard film Empire. Unfortunately, this floating head version of the poster has removed the gun looming over the city-scape which basically ruins the whole point the first poster was making. Meanwhile, from UIP Netherlands comes the poster for Heath Ledger's Ned Kelly aka The Kelly Gang and from JoBlo.com comes the poster for Gerry the new Gus Van Sant film starring Casey Affleck and Matt Damon.

Finally, we have very poor quality images of the posters for Bringing Down the House, the new Steve Martin / Queen Latifah comedy, and LL Cool J's Deliver Us From Eva.

Wednesday, December 4th, 2002
From COMINGSOON.net comes a small image of the teaser poster for next year's Pirates of the Caribbean starring Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush.
From Poster Image Archive comes the one sheet for the Cate Blanchett film Veronica Guerin. Can't say too much about the poster. It is a memorable image of Blanchett, but it is just an image, nothing more. And the tag line - "why would anyone want to kill Veronica Guerin" - seems pretty ridiculous. From the plot of the film it is obvious why certain people would have wanted to kill her. But from the poster, we are left to simply wonder why anybody would want to kill someone this pretty. Just try and picture the same tag line with an ugly face on the cover.

Meanwhile, from Dawn Patrol comes their poster for May.
