I love when people hate on great posters because they A) work at some tiny shop that comps porn movie posters and/or B) they are horrible designers and they know it.

This poster is perfect.

this is on the more brilliant posters, and not because it merges clooney and gosling's starpower (as said in the description), but because it tells everything you need to know about the movie in one shot. clooney is the frontman, while gosling is the men behind the scenes shaping clooneys image. clooney needs to be proper as he's in the spotlight (buttoned up shirt and tie) while gosling can be more morally lax (loose tie and shirt). also if gosling is more of an idealist at first, this picture shows that the two men are pretty much the same. not to mention the obvious preview of the plot with the tagline (which is brilliantly incorporated in the magazine). the poster just wraps up so many elements in one concise shot
