JB Mar 22 11:33:49pm @Scorsesefan I totally agree. This is pornification of a female icon.
Jorge Jan 19 07:49:22pm I actually loved this poster!! @ajj: ROGER Craig??
owl Jan 07 04:56:58am Saw this poster in the cinema yesterday. So at least one had the gall to put it up!
Scorsesefan Oct 16 03:33:30pm Has anyone here read the novel or seen the original film? Lisbeth Salander is NOT a sex object, but the real hero of the series. Making her look like a sex kitten, and a starving one that is, is just plain wrong.
Matt Oct 13 11:09:52pm I think this is a pretty fantastic poster. It got me excited to see the film.
Cantescape
Love the poster, however it's risque and most theaters won't have the gall to have it on display.
Only problem I have is that my theater got it in with a ''this film is not yet rated'' sticker over the nudity on the poster.
Dr. Zoid
Pretty racy poster, but totally fits the whole mood from the book. They look like they really nailed the looks of the characters. Very sexy, yet very gritty and dirty at the same time. Yeah this poster will never be shown in theaters most likely.
gripmonster
As much as I like this poster, I can't see any theatres putting this on display.
ajj
Saw all three of the original movies and I'm not sure this is the right tone. The direction does seem to emphasize Rooney Mara's sexuality and I'm not sure why Roger Craig has her in a 'death grip'.
coo
this imagery is awesome. dont agree with the type, but i still really like it

Is it just me, or can you see her nipple? Right where the 2 is, there is a bar..a piercing if you will. This can't be allowed in the US....
fabris
Have you read the book? He HAS to look haggard!
Slimmin
Mpaa kills my posters! But not this! Great!

'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' the US remake seems to focusing more on making Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara) a sexual object rather than the conflicted anti-heroine she actually was in the novels and as played by Noomi Rapace in the original.
The poster in turn seems to be focusing on this has well, and ultimately it looks more like a print ad for an alternative fashion label than a film poster.
And the tagline while strong seems out of place and looks closer to be resembling a horror or supernatural film.

Now thats a sexy poster, bonds looking a bit haggard though!
