Cumulo Sep 02 03:58:43pm I heard someone at a theater look at this, laugh, and say "I guess Malkovich plays the horse."

overly treated and overly stylized and downright old fashioned. good way to reach people over 55....disney

Wonderful poster and to the whole point of the movie - Secretariat and Churchill Downs and of course the owner, Penny Chenery.

Beautiful, although too much dyed, with the typical hollywood postercolor scheme, like the one of narnia 2 and spiderwick. Those were superntural films. This is not.
But, yes, it makes the point. elegant and beautifuly composed.

Leave it to Disney! this is how you do a poster! Drama films are hard but this nails it. The tagline talks about 'the impossible true story' and then you see Diane Lane sharing a quiet moment on a racetrack with a horse. It tells you what you need to know about the film with a single image, and no floating heads (which I'm not totally against, like on The Last Crusade poster, but it gets old)
