Blocking the artwork in with silly dividers ruins its impact. All that clutter distracts from what could have been a memorable poster. And who needs the quotes?
This design (as well as the others in this group of posters) is based on Dave Gibbons'(and Alan Moore's) original promo posters for the graphic series.
As such, they reflect the comic origins of the series with its framed structure and text sections.
Isn't done like that on purpose to be as close as possible to the original comic ads which had that exact layout. I thought that was the point and therefore what made it cool, authentic and not like everything else.

I quite like the quotes and blocking around the picture... its an homage to the graphic novel. Kind of a shout out to the fans, and it adds something unique and thought-provoking, enticing even, to those who don't know what Watchmen is.
the title, the tagline,a quote and RORSCAHCH,now thats one loaded poster with the mysterious feel of what this character represents, way to go zack, give us more!
Should get rid of all of the crap around the picture.
You take this image, blow it up to the full frame and get rid of all of the other crap and you have easily one of the best movie posters in the last 10 years. As is its just ok.
