The convergence of the hue of the background with that of leo and kate creates a depth that's really captivating. This is one really fascinating and dramatic poster: simple yet very profound.

I think the whiteness and background do indicate something about the time period - how everything is whitewashed.

Not horrible, but it really doesn't convey the nostalgic time period nor does it really demonstrate the intensity of the story.

Not very interesting. Clearly they're selling the Leo-Kate romance, but they're not doing it very well. I wouldn't have guessed that that is Kate in the photo had her name not been above it. Will be interesting to see the international posters, as I'm certain they will highlight any and all elements that might remind viewers of Titanic: Leo+Kate, period drama, frustrated love, whatever else they can throw in.
