this poster design was not part of the other movie poster designs. This particular design was design by an actual graffiti artist by the name of Galo Make Canote

people.. people.. What this is called, is smart advertising. Whether you like this piece or hate it, you were compelled enough to stop and leave a comment, which means it caught your eye!! And for the clever people that throw out Shepard Fairy's name.. get a clue, this resembles Banksy's work.

I'm not gonna pan this. I think it's an interesting concept. I think I'd like the execution a lot more if it was a guerilla campaign and not on posters.

Stuff all of ya, I like it. Has balls.

This poster is effective in reintroducing an aging franchise in a
new way. It is relevant to use a spray paint stencil, as they are frequently used in the
military to mark vehicles and cargo- not to mention that a graphic stencil approach is a good way to get Rambo's
likeness without a big old color photo of a 60 year old man airbrushed to look like a 30 something action star.
I respect the Creative for pitching it and the Exec that signed off on it.
As for the comments below, people need to understand that
Shepard Fairey and Banksy did not 'invent' nor do they 'hold a patent' on stenciling
or graffiti- the movement has been around for 4 decades- and one of the biggest
tenets of that worldwide movement is that it's open to anyone.
Chill out. Perhaps read a book.

I thought this idea was clever and quite well artistically done. Everyone in the world knows who Rambo is, and this looks like a sneaky, counter-culture, Che-type graffiti tag. It's my favorite of all the posters for this movie.

Looks like Madonna's 'American Life' album cover. Terrible.
boi
Banksy does Rambo...
smarts
John Rambo is trying his hand at being a graffiti writer. Shep Fairey eat your heart out.

Is this a joke? It makes this movie look like a comedy. Did some wannabe Shepard Fairey do this? Tired of this.
