bobby ray May 03 02:32:57pm hey chris reynolds and all of you other clowns - you guys are all students right? with no actual practical working experience? thought so. come back when you have a portfolio. THE END.
mike Nov 07 01:04:55am Good poster, at least it is better than this: [img src="link"]
Chris Reynolds Amazing how many people think the reflections are correct. Just looking at it gives the strange feeling that the building is leaning over. Also Batman seems to be staring directly at a window beam. Shame as image is beautiful, but the composition is laughably inept.
val the reflections are not wrong. who said he is atop the tallest building?
Morbo Reflections do not work that way! Goodnight!
Todd Weber Wow, you guys sound like the critiques in my Illustration class. Looking WAAAAY too into everything. It's a beautiful image... enough said.
Mark Not to prolong the ''reflections'' debate, Batweasel, but they are only right if you accept one of two premises: 1. The building is literally leaning over the city. Batman is immune to gravity and is therefore able to remain upright. OR 2. What Batman is looking at is not Gotham below him, but a very large, very bright floor-to-ceiling painting of Gotham on his wall. A little field trip suggestion: go to the highest floor of any tall building. Look down at the floor. I promise you you will not see the city underneath reflected at your feet.
Batweasel you numbskulls the reflections are absolutely correct.
jeff best poster of the year only compares 2 the 10000B.C poster.
moviefan Wow, cool. Nice effect.
Lincoln Bad reflections!!! And who stands directly in front of a window beam?! Also, the perspective over the city gives me a queezy feeling, as if the building is leaning over. Ughh...very terrible poster! The only thing good is the color, but you can't even see Batman clearly. There's no good reason to have made these SIMPLE mistakes.
stephanie who cares if the reflection isn't right, it is still a beautiful poster.
The Collector Um... if I were looking out of a window, I wouldn't stand in front of a beam.
crankythunderpants BOR-ing, what happened? did batman get grounded? he looks like he's sad he can't go out and play. trying to capture the idea of silent guardian but way off the mark.
andy The reflections are completely wrong. A pity.
Mark But, Allen, in this case the reflective surface isn't vertical (like a mirror held at chest height), but horizontal. A level floor only reflects what's above it (Batman standing on top of it, the ceiling, and whatever ambient light came in through the windows). It would NOT reflect a pristine mirror image of the city BELOW it. Either Batman's standing in front of a backlit matte painting, or the artists did it with computers.
Allen that is not a mistake. if you had a mirror at chest height, you could look in it and see the floor, even though the mirror is above the floor. If the windows are reflective and so is the floor, looking at the floor you could see the windows, through which you can see the bulidings.
Mark Good point about the reflections. In spite of that, it's still better than the Batman Begins material.
Mickey Best Poster Ever!
Blah da di da da If he is overlooking the city...how can the same buildings be reflected onto the floor? Other than that...looks good!
aaa Fight Club?
