Since Leo is the main (main) character, he's in the front, then Damon, and on the back we see Nicholson which seems to be watching these two and also pretty evil-looking.
The colors and textures also go well with the movie, and the ''The Departed'' font makes it look like a classic instead of just putting guns around it. This would attract viewers who don't really have an idea of what the movie is about.
This is what a movie poster should look like, you can almost guess what kind of movie and what the story is.
