The original poster featured a drawing of Robin Williams (holding a US flag) with actors Cleavant Derricks and Maria Conchita Alonso on either side of him. In the background was an exaggerated view of New York with the Atlantic Ocean looking like a tiny river and the cities of London, Paris, Rome, and Moscow scattered in the distance. A 1987 court case found that the poster violated Saul Steinberg's copyright for his 1976 New Yorker cover artwork titled 'A View of the World from Ninth Avenue'. We were asked to remove the image by the Saul Steinberg Foundation and have complied with their request.

See Steinberg v. Columbia Pictures Industries (663 F.Supp. 706) for an interesting copyright case concerning this poster. BTW Columbia Pictures lost.
