A Trio of Quads

[Mar 30, 2006 7:45pm]
Thanks to Mathew Buck for the heads up on quads for Silent Hill and Transamerica over at CinemasOnline. Also, from movieposter.com comes the UK quad for Lucky Number Slevin.

Norwegian Tristan & Isolde

[Mar 30, 2006 7:45pm]
Always interesting to see how differently films are marketed in different areas. The North American poster for Tristan & Isolde seemed to focus completely on the romance, especially with the "Before Romeo & Juliet there was..." tag line. Based on the first poster one would be hard pressed to even realize that it was a period piece. For this international poster (courtesy of filmbyen.net) there is no doubt of that and the emphasis is as much on epic battles as epic romance. And forget about Romeo & Juliet references. They want you to know that this film is by the makers of Gladiator and Robin Hood. [Thanks to Jon H. for the heads up.]

Over the Hedge

[Mar 30, 2006 1:15am]
Thanks to Jason for passing along another poster for Over the Hedge.

Int'l Lucky Number Slevin

[Mar 27, 2006 9:35pm]
Thanks to Luis for passing along the Spanish poster for Lucky Number Slevin. Nothing too original here. However,  it does prove that having a "Sir" in front of your name on the poster does not guarantee that you'll get your face shown.

Peaceful Warrior, Int'l Da Vinci Code

[Mar 27, 2006 4:15pm]
From LGF comes the eye-catching new poster for Peaceful Warrior starring Nick Nolte, Scott Mechlowicz, and Amy Smart. Also, from a Taiwan Blog site comes six Taiwan posters for The Da Vinci Code. [Thanks to Johnson for the heads up.]

United 93, Little Man

[Mar 25, 2006 11:55am]
Thanks to Luis for passing along the poster for United 93. (A low quality version has actually been kicking around for a week or so now after appearing at the ShoWest convention but we were not certain if it was official until now.) Also, for those poor individuals who looked at the poster for White Chicks and thought "I've got to see that film", the makers of that monstrosity have now come up with Little Man, which looks even worse based on the low quality poster from eBay.

Guys & Balls, In Her Line of Fire

[Mar 25, 2006 11:55am]

Friends With Money, Cars

[Mar 22, 2006 9:55pm]
From IONCinema comes the poster for Friends With Money. A pretty plain group shot, though at least it appears to be from a single photo instead of having everyone pasted together. Might have been more interesting if they had made the little drawing the focus of the poster instead. We also have a couple new posters for Cars. The first one, with a "12 weeks to go" countdown, comes from MoviesOnline. A great tag line: "Ahhh... it's got that new movie smell." The second one is the French poster courtesy of animated-news.

When Do We Eat?, Iowa, Basic Instinct 2

[Mar 22, 2006 9:55pm]

Stick It, Int'l Proposition, Inside Man

[Mar 19, 2006 8:05pm]
Thanks to Luis for passing along the poster for Stick It. Jeff Bridges gets star billing but is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, the girls in the background seem to have been randomly dropped in for no apparent reason. From filmbyen.net comes an international poster for The Proposition. [Thanks to 'Jon' for the heads up.] Finally, thanks to Luis again for passing along an every so slightly different international poster for Inside Man.

MI3, The Rocket, Eye of the Dolphin

[Mar 19, 2006 8:05pm]
Thanks to Hargon for passing along the new poster for Mission: Impossible III. Not quite as memorable as the Tom Cruise profiles for the previous two films (I and II). Also, thanks to Mike Markus for sending along posters for The Rocket (also known as Maurice Richard) and Eye of the Dolphin.

Int'l Dreamz, Phat Girlz, Wassup Rockers

[Mar 17, 2006 1:55pm]

Int'l Basic Instinct 2, Matador

[Mar 15, 2006 1:35pm]
Thanks to Mike Markus for passing along two Korean posters for Basic Instinct 2. What's funny about the first one is that they have taken the earlier poster and given Sharon Stone's hair the wet look. The only problem is that they did not change her hair in the reflections as well. Also, thanks to Jon for the heads up on the Norwegian poster for The Matador at filmbyen.net.

Pulse

[Mar 14, 2006 12:15am]
From The Weinstein Company comes the extremely creepy looking brand new poster for Pulse.

The Sentinel, Garfield 2

[Mar 11, 2006 2:15pm]

Waist Deep

[Mar 10, 2006 4:10am]
From IGN FilmForce comes the poster for Waist Deep starring Tyrese Gibson and Meagan Good. Oh, and don't forget that it features the new single "Bad Girls". Are there really people out there who will go see a movie because a certain song is in it? [Thanks to Luis and Mike Markus for passing along the poster]

Another Ice Age 2

[Mar 10, 2006 4:10am]
Thanks to Mike Markus for the  latest international poster for Ice Age 2. For those that thought "The Chill Is Gone" wasn't punny enough, now we have "Kiss Your Ice Goodbye".

[Mar 7, 2006 8:35pm]
Hot off the presses we have the teaser poster for The Ant Bully. Also, from LatinoReview comes four new character posters for A Scanner Darkly. (They were obviously never meant to be lined up the way we have them displayed here! Winanu Reever and Roboody Darrelson Jr. do not make pretty faces!)

A Prairie Home Companion

[Mar 7, 2006 1:05am]
Thanks to Nick for passing along the poster for Robert Altman's latest star-studded film, A Prairie Home Companion, featuring the likes of Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Kline, Lindsay Lohan, Virginia Madsen, John C. Reilly, Meryl Streep, and Lily Tomlin.

Sorry Haters and Canadian Posters

[Mar 4, 2006 6:45am]
From RobinWrightPenn.net comes the one sheet for Sorry, Haters. Meanwhile, after putting it off for far too long, The IMP has finally decided to start putting together some poster galleries for films that did not open in the US. For starters, you can check out the small poster gallery of Canadian films. Hopefully we will expand upon this in the weeks to come and begin adding posters for other countries as well. [NOTE: The Canadian section IS working now. Fixed a minor glitch that kept the pages from showing up.]

[Mar 3, 2006 1:15pm]
From Cinempire comes the new one sheet for Ice Age: The Meltdown as well as the Spanish poster for Volver, the latest film from Pedro Almodovar. Also, from ComingSoon, we have a new international poster for Ice Age 2: The Meltdown. (Notice how the US poster has dropped the 2 from the title now.) [Thanks to Iain, Luis, and Wlad for the heads up.]

Thanks to 'Kal-El' for passing along the rather revolting poster for Slither. From 'Eriol' comes a small poster image for Factory Girl starring Guy Pearce, Sienna Miller, Hayden Christensen, and Jimmy Fallon. And thanks to Luis for passing along two posters from MovieWeb: a nice large one of the IMAX film Deep Sea 3D as well as Americano.
