Today we have the artwork for what appears to be another Spider-man 2 teaser as well as two posters for the horror flick House of the Dead. Great tag line there. [Thanks to Mike Markus] Also, from FilmForce comes the one sheet for The Battle of Shaker Heights, the latest film to come out of Project Greenlight.

Wednesday, July 30th, 2003
From FilmForce comes the poster for Woody Allen's latest, Anything Else starring Jason Biggs and Christina Ricci. Then, from Film Affinity comes a look at the poster for Fanfan la Tulipe starring Vincent Perez and Penelope Cruz. Finally, we have the one sheet for Le Pacte du Silence starring Gerard Depardieu and Elodie Bouchez.

Sunday, July 27th, 2003
From Poster Image Archive comes the teaser poster for Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.

Friday, July 25th, 2003
From Empire Movies comes the poster for The Rundown starring The Rock, Seann William Scott, Christopher Walken, and Rosario Dawson.

Thursday, July 24th, 2003
Just a small picture, but here is the rather scary poster for Thirteen starring Evan Rachel Wood, Holly Hunter, and Nikki Reed. The IMP gets very frightened by the thought of body vandalism.

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2003
From mc.themes.ru comes the one sheet for the new Joel Coen film Intolerable Cruelty starring George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones. It's got his smarmy smile and her cleavage but it could've been a little more imaginative, especially for a Coen Brothers film. NOTE: This is another poster with garbled credits so it may not be 100% official.

Sunday, July 20th, 2003
It's not the best quality, but here's a look at one of the teaser posters for next summer's Spider-man 2 featuring Alfred Molina as Dr. Octopus. It was on display at this weekend's Comic-Con event. [Thanks to Jason Dunn, Mike Markus, and Erwin & Netty.] UPDATE: HI-RES version added, thanks to Jason Dunn and Superhero Hype!.

Saturday, July 19th, 2003
First of all we have the one sheet for Dallas 362, Scott Caan's directing debut starring himself, Jeff Goldblum, Kelly Lynch, Selma Blair, and James Caan. Then, from Mike Markus we have what appears to be a German poster for the Winona Ryder film The Gathering. A very striking design.

Friday, July 18th, 2003
A couple new posters to add to the pile. From Empire Movies we have the second poster for the Merchant / Ivory film Le Divorce starring the blonde duo of Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts. And from Mike Markus comes a look at the poster artwork for the Robert Rodriguez film Once Upon a Time in Mexico starring Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Johnny Depp, Willem Dafoe, Mickey Rourke, and many more.

Wednesday, July 16th, 2003
From Empire Movies comes the one sheet for The School of Rock starring Jack Black and directed by Richard Linklater. We also have a small poster image for Timeline. Yes, there is a much bigger version of the poster kicking around, but since it has been cluttered up with annoying branding tags from the originating site, you won't be seeing it here. The IMP says "Just say no to poster branding!" Finally, there is a striking poster for the new Angelina Jolie film Beyond Borders and the rather frightening poster for The Fighting Temptations.

Tuesday, July 15th, 2003
From comingsoon.net we have a look at the teaser poster for the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Nice and creepy without showing too much.

Monday, July 14th, 2003
Today, someone pointed out what appears to be an error in the poster credits for Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Russell Boyd is listed as one of the producers when he is obviously the director of photography. On closer inspection, the last two lines of the credits are completely messed up regarding the writing credits: "Written by John Collee, Larry Ferguson. Written by John Collee and Patrick O'Brien. Written Directed and Produced by Peter Weir". If that was for real it would be the strangest writing credits in film history. So, is it a fake, a rough draft with messed up credits, or a major screw-up? Only time will tell.

Thanks to Kyle we have the one sheet for the new Julia Roberts film Mona Lisa Smile. When I heard the film's title, I imagined a poster mimicking the classic painting but with Julia Roberts as the subject. As is the design is pretty basic, with four pretty women all looking at... at something.
From mc.themes.ru comes several new "working posters" for the Gary Ross film Seabiscuit starring Tobey Maguire, Jeff Bridges, Chris Cooper, and William H. Macy. The IMP's favorite of the bunch is definitely the new one with Tobey Maguire nose to nose with the horse. Quite a beautiful shot. But whether these are actually part of the poster campaign for the film or not is not certain at this point.

Tuesday, July 8th, 2003
Thanks to Kyle we have the bright and cheerful poster for Under the Tuscan Sun starring Diane Lane.

Monday, July 7th, 2003
Several weeks ago, the 32nd Annual Hollywood Report Key Art Awards were announced. Better late than never, the IMP has a breakdown of the poster awards from the event.

Saturday, July 5th, 2003
Now here's one that the IMP has been looking forward to for some time. From mc.themes.ru comes the one sheet for the latest Peter Weir film Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. starring Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany. Nothing too original in the design, but still quite a good looking poster.
From Empire Movies we have two new posters. First, the rather hilarious looking poster for Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. Could this actually be a good David Spade movie? Maybe not, but the poster is fun. Then we have Marci X starring the unlikely combination of Lisa Kudrow and Damon Wayans.

Friday, July 4th, 2003
Two new posters to add to the IMP's coffers. First of all we have the poster for Runaway Jury, the latest John Grisham novel to make it to the big screen. It stars John Cusack, Rachel Weisz, Gene Hackman, and Dustin Hoffman. A pretty straightforward poster, but a great tag line: "trials are too important to be decided by juries". Then we have the latest poster for Bad Boys II. This seems to be the best of the bunch. It certainly has more energy than the first two. [thanks to Mike Markus, Kyle, and actuacine.net]

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2003
From LatinoReview comes the one sheet for the new Denzel Washington film Out of Time.

Monday, June 30th, 2003
A belated addition from the weekend: the second poster for Freddy vs. Jason. [thanks to Mike Markus]

Friday, June 25th, 2003
From the official site comes a look at the teaser poster for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. [thanks to Mike Markus]

Thursday, June 24th, 2003
From Joblo.com comes two new documentary posters. First of all there is Step into Liquid, the latest surfing film from the makers of Endless Summer. Then we have the appropriately disturbing poster for Capturing the Friedmans.

Monday, June 23rd, 2003
From Empire Movies comes the poster for Secondhand Lions starring the unlikely combination of Robert Duvall, Michael Caine, and Haley Joel Osment. Well, at least Duvall looks like himself. Had to look twice to recognize Michael Caine and I still can't see Osment in that boy's face. Call me blind, but he looks more like Joseph Mazzello (from Jurassic Park) than the boy who saw dead people.

Sunday, June 22nd, 2003
Any fans of the 1993 film Once Upon a Forest? www.raelambert.com is having a competitionon its site and the prize is an autographed poster of the film.

Friday, June 20th, 2003
From Mike Markus comes a second poster for the Hong Kong smash Shaolin Soccer as well as the "cut and paste the actors" poster for Scorched starring Alicia Silverstone, Rachael Leigh Cook, Woody Harrelson, and John Cleese which is finally getting a limited US release in July.
Joblo.com had the artwork a couple days ago, but now thanks to Kyle here is the actual poster for the Martin Brest film Gigli, starring real life couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. A perfect example of a poster that tells you absolutely nothing about the plot. "It has sexy stars, go see it!" is all this poster seems to be saying. Meanwhile, The IMP continues travelling back through time. Current stop: 1984, when the box office was ruled by Ghostbusters and Beverly Hills Cop, and Amadeus ran off with 8 Oscars including Best Picture.

Thursday, June 19th, 2003
From Outnow.ch comes what appears to be a first look at the teaser poster for Shrek 2. A very simple design that immediately gets its point across. Meanwhile, thanks to Kyle we have four character posters from S.W.A.T.

Wednesday, June 18th, 2003
Thanks to Mike Markus and Kyle we have the one sheet for the new Jackie Chan film The Medallion. And from Poster Image Archive comes the latest poster for Johnny English, starring Rowan Atkinson.

Tuesday, June 17th, 2003
From mc.themes.ru comes the poster artwork for the dogs from space film Good Boy! from Jim Henson Productions. The film stars Liam Aiken along with the voice of Matthew Broderick

From FilmForce comes seven cool looking character posters for The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and from Joblo.com comes the poster for Cabin Fever which does a great job of making a skull out of a cabin and a bunch of trees.

Saturday, June 14th, 2003
From Mike Markus comes the one sheet for the skateboarding movie Grind. Also, although the artwork has been kicking around for some time, here is a look at the teaser poster for Peter Pan from Ain't It Cool News. Also, for anyone who is interested, we've added a Sexy Ladies poster gallery to the site.

Friday, June 13th, 2003
Hot off the presses comes the beautiful poster for The Cooler starring William H. Macy as a man who is so unlucky it seems to rub off on those around him, making him ideal for an unusual casino job. Great to see William H. Macy up in neon! Also, we have the one sheet for American Splendor, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.

Thursday, June 12th, 2003
Just a small image at the moment, but here's a look at the poster for Northfork starring James Woods, Nick Nolte, Anthony Edwards, Daryl Hannah, and many more...

Wednesday, June 11th, 2003
From FilmForce comes three character posters for Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas.
Thanks to Kyle, here is a look at the second poster for the Will Smith / Martin Lawrence sequel Bad Boys II. Somewhat reminiscent of the poster for the original film (with Martin taking Will's pose, Will taking Tea's pose, Tea vanishing, and the car blowed up real good). It is somewhat surprising to have the stars so small on the poster. But hey, we know who they are...

Tuesday, June 10th, 2003
Thanks to Mike Markus we have a scan of the poster for Kevin Costner's third directing effort Open Range starring himself, Robert Duvall, and Annette Bening. The image is not big enough to fully appreciate it, but it looks like a great design. Now, will the movie be another Dances With Wolvesor another The Postman? My guess is that it will fall somewhere in between. (A prety safe bet since there are several light years of space in that gap.)
A few more new posters from Empire Movies. First we have Jetlag, starring Jean Reno and Juliette Binoche, which is about to receive a limited US release. Then we have the US poster for Dirty Pretty Things starring Audrey Tautou (Amelie) and directed by Stephen Frears (High Fidelity, Dangerous Liaisons).

Monday, June 9th, 2003

Let's start the week off with a small scan of the Japanese teaser poster for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film Kill Bill starring Uma Thurman, David Carradine, Lucy Liu, and a whole boatload of other familiar faces. From Empire Movies we have To Kill a King starring Tim Roth and Dougray Scott, the second poster for I Capture the Castle, and Back in the Day.

Saturday, June 6th, 2003
Two new entries today. First of all we have a poor quality scan of the holofoil teaser poster for The Matrix Revolutions. Also, we have a silly looking poster for a film called Dirt. Who wouldn't love two guys named Scooter and Junior who are looking for a new Mom?

Thursday, June 5th, 2003
From FilmForce comes the poster for Camp directed by Todd Graff, best known as Hippy (or ratboy) from The Abyss.
From the official site comes the international poster for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Meanwhile, Empire Movies has what hopefully is the real version of the poster for American Wedding, the third installment of the American Pie series. A similar version has been kicking around the internet for the past few weeks, but this one has cleaner artwork and legitimate credits on it. (The last version seemed to think the movie starred some guy named Sofga Sofinnes...)

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2003
First of all, from themes.ru comes a beautiful one sheet for The Big Empty. Next comes what appears to be the teaser poster for Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. Surely the statute of limitations bans all sequels that arrive more than 15 years after the original. Of course such a rule would have prevented us from seeing Escape from L.A., Blues Brothers 2000, The Odd Couple II, and so many others...
A few international films getting US releases soon: From Australia we have the poster for Garage Days by Alex Proyas (director of The Crow and Dark City), from France comes Swimming Pool, and finally, from Mexico, comes Lucia Lucia (aka La Hija del canibal)
